This shit actually made me shed a tear like its so beautiful and magical the love story that's blossoming between them, like nowadays in these donghua's you hardly ever see that depth of love between MC and his main waifu girl literally at all really. That's why this show is so enticing to me besides the epic battles, beautiful graphics. and deep character development for Hao Chen you got this radiant beautiful love between him and Cai'er like this show just so got dam good man.

ofc you wouldnt see anything too deep and moving.. most of these donghuas have harems.. what sort of deep connection can there be between a couple when one of them cant even love the other enough to be exclusive.. power fantasies and not much else.. thats why i like MC's that have a clear love interest like this guy, luo feng or that guy from soul land

who wanna make a bet? i predicted the final outcome of this story last week- Hao Chen will endure a long rollercoaster battle with the Demon boss. the turning point will be from the sacrifice/death of Caier sending HC into ultimate god mode making for a bittersweet finish.
i can extrapolate all of that because of the way her 'tragic' character is written. although being very OP with her skills & abilities (i.e. the Reincarnated Child/Sacred Lady as the Assassin leader stated), she is still flawed and carrying a lot of trauma and baggage. I think she does genuinely care for HC but only because she strongly feels that connection from when they were kids and he risked his life to protect her. I believe she decided way back then that HC was going to be her soulmate for life, but then she was forced to face that other 'destiny' she was told that only she can fulfil...Now HC is back and being that light again in her otherwise dark life, so she is seriously locked on to him from here on out; HC also has strong love for her as was observed so that ship is as good as gold going forward....
the strange part for me was the vengeful attack on blondie when she should actually be thankful. i guess she was too much absorbed in her feelings that she was oblivious to everything else 🤷🏽‍♂️ blondie started to gain some respect for HC during their fight, and when HC was possessed burning his life-force away it was none other than blondie who knocked the fker out and saved him. so if the point was to show her crazy impulsive side, then they certainly achieved that! HC seems to have the cure for her emotional ills tho; love will become her new motivator as opposed to anger...and perhaps it can make a difference in reversing a tragic fate, but my conclusion is that it won't make a difference...

About that blonde guy and her actions toward him its kind of complicated.. personally i hated the blonde guy, typical arrogant fvck and he needed a bit of slapping to be put in his place and while her actions were weird and ppl call her crazy b1tch and what not..the way i interpret all that is she shouldnt be treated as a normal person.. cause she is not.. basically she had all her emotions and senses erased... only thing that couldnt be erased was HC so her overreacting and being overprotective of him is somewhat understandable, all these ppl cant even begin to understand a character that was basically tortured all her life so all these opinions about how she should have acted are just biased, personally i reserve my thoughts on the matter until i have more info. I really hope this will be well written cause i like the premise alot.

hmm that's an interesting thought.. could make for an interesting continuation of the story after the defeat of demons.. but honestly i dont see any evidence of it.. altho HC's father absence and his mother connection to the demon lord might be some clues.. also when his father did the "awakening" thing for HC just when he was about to get 100% there was that darkness sword if i remember correctly.. at first i thought that might be a clue that HC's real father was the demon king but now that you mentioned an even bigger plot im starting to doubt that..at any rate im very curious what made you think that the demon lord is protecting humanity?

clues were in the first couple of episodes.. when the MC's dad actually fought the demon lord (I mean he tried his best lol), the demon lord could have wiped out earth's heroes at the time, but he let them live... even the humans were surprised with that.
In another episode, we see that the demon lord knew that son of light was born and noticed MC's presence.
And I think in another episode, the demon lord tells his second in command about something, like prepare for the future or someting... not sure what, but as if he is waiting for a change...
Plus, we haven't seen the dark lord overconfident till now. I mean, he defeated earth's best hero without flicking a finger.

(kinda reminds of of gurren lagan, of how the aliens were keeping humanity safe by forcing them underground)

now that you mentioned it i seem to have missed those clues. Your theory it makes more sense now. Still we cant know if this is actually well written to make everything connected like that but there is hope. Its a quality show so far so there is reason to believe the writing is also of good quality. Also in these chinese animation there is always a bigger world and a bigger foe.. not to mention that demon's or humans doesnt mean good or evil especially in asian culture..also they are not as concerned with teaching a lesson about morality as the japanese are in all their show.. honestly im actually being a bit annoyed at how they promote non-values in their MC's most time..its a very weird thing for me coming from a very different culture where most of these "qualities" these MC's have are actually defects.. i get that ppl are bored with the goddy characters but at the same time going to the other side of the spectrum is too extreme and soon these anti heroes will make ppl bored too

But yeah this is a good series so far, I do wonder if he'll only stick with just one woman though because there's quite a few baddies in here for them to waste on fodder characters (women tend to want the strongest, powerfulest, wealthiest, etc...man/mate they can get which is biologically driven). Cai'er is yandere crazy but freaking DOPE though!! She's even stronger than I thought, I know she didn't pull out all her abilities so imagine her going all out. And she's a full 100, the highest we've seen thus far, she might be strongest overall in the series when she's an adult. I'm confused though because the mc's 97, he's called "child of light" though, which shouldn’t she have that title or be higher?? They children is going to be OP!!

Oh and I'm wondering if the mc would've one if he didn't have the random hiccup of leveling up messing up his match. I do like it that they didn't do some generic win for the mc and the other guy end up winning, since dude was a beast and already higher level. It'd kind of be bs if he lost when he had major advantages over the mc. Like you mentioned last episode, the mc definitely showcased his courage, his potential (being able to fight somewhat on par with blonde, even pushing him to not only take his serious recognizing the mc as a peer but also forcing him to take it serious and go hard), proved himself and more, he might've had lost but still achieved more benefit in the end + long run.

Regarding the titles, I was thinking that it had something to do with the sects they were trained in like the knights have the child of light and the assassins has something like the child of shadows as their title. The assassin's title is just made up though as I dont know if they do, it's just an example.

The odd thing is there is more sexual tension portrayed between the MC and number 1 knight 😂

This episode had some major character development for Cai er and the assassin temple. I really look forward to the upcoming parts where they begin choosing the members for the demon slayer teams. Also, a what a beautiful episode.

I don't care if he has a good reason, I don't watch anime with pathetic characters because I could instead watch a more enjoyable anime with a chad MC who isn't susceptible to the limitations of realistic biology in a magical fantasy world. Or I could be watching a world where somebody was left keeping watch over a highly valued medicated drugged up severely injured patient.
You're even assuming the author intended your interpretation. From prior episodes this MC has done other stupid things such as waiting way too long before taking hallucination antidote pills in the swamp, or in the author's other story Douluo dalu he has Tang-san doing other stupid things like not going in for the kill when the enemy underestimates him.
TL;DR it's pathetic that this OP protagonist nearly died due to hallucinations caused by himself (both by his lovey dovey emotional state and the injured state he brought upon himself by over-doing a competition battle); it's bad enough if the same happened because a villain hypnotized him. Weak minded MCs are an unenjoyable watch.

If 29 episodes are bangers (more or less) and 2 are pitiful, then those are not the worst odds. But nonetheless with each episode that the cool MC gets butchered by falling miserably it decreases the chances I'll bother returning for the next episode. So yes, if they keep this up, if they keep making him fuck up pathetically, or if they keep overemphasizing romance, I'll likely drop this anime, perhaps not intentionally, but in the case of Douluo dalu and many others I simply couldn't be bothered returning to watch it anymore.
